About Artna
Artna is a curated world of one-of-a-kind pieces — a gifting nest for those who move through life with a bolder lens. This isn't a place for the ordinary; it's a space for pieces brimming with character. In a world of mass production, and a modern minimalism that's drained the colour and soul from our homes and our wardrobes alike, that feels rather extraordinary.
To us, "bold" isn't loud. It's intentional. It's the confidence that comes with choosing pieces that look and feel like you — not the algorithm or the trend. It's about taking up space in your own life. Living life on your own terms. Building a home, a wardrobe, a life that reflects who you are in the most beautiful way.
The woman we're for has a good eye. She notices the small things — the imperfect glaze on a hand-thrown vase, the kind of detail that takes a second look to really see. And whether she's hunting for the perfect gift for someone she loves, or — just as importantly — for herself, she wants the piece to feel discovered and collected.
Behind every Artna piece is an artisan who made it — small studios and independent makers. Choosing to support them is our way of keeping that craft alive.
Welcome to a bold woman's edit of home décor, jewellery, and the celebration of life through gifting — our founder's absolute favourite thing to do. Because there's so much to celebrate and be grateful for, and we've gathered the most beautiful ways to do it in one place.
founder's note
A note from Tamara
Artna means our land in Maltese — and that's where it starts. On a small Mediterranean island with a big story. Where summer means warm water you can stay in for hours, the smell of salt in the air, long evenings spent catching up with friends. (The amphora in our logo is no accident.)
I worked as a lawyer first, living a life that looked good on paper before realising it wasn't the one I wanted. So I left — the career, the country, the script — and started building something closer to who I actually am.
These days that looks like a slow life on the edge of Arrábida in Portugal, with two cats, six chickens, and a house full of boys. Weekends spent dyeing old t-shirts with avocado skins, writing, the occasional ceramics workshop in Lisbon. When I travel, I'm always on the lookout for an Ikebana class in Japan or a natural dye workshop in Mexico — which quickly becomes the highlight of the trip.
I find the pieces I bring into Artna the way I find everything I love — in flea markets, in small boutiques, in the little corners where the unusual still hides.
Choosing them is, simply, my favourite thing to do.
